Lindsay Rowe - Chairman
Along with my wife Elizabeth we have lived on the edge of Feilding for over 30 years where we have enjoyed bringing up our four boys in a rural community.
I have been a veterinarian since graduating from Massey University in the late ‘70s and am a partner with a leadership role in the local veterinary business Totally Vets. Part of this leadership role is to have a heart for the people that make up the team. Equally, I believe that this is an integral part of the role I have in the leadership team at the Feilding Bible Chapel where having “eyes and ears wide open” to where people are at in life and then seeking to provide the necessary encouragement and support, is vital.
I'm married to Jackie, and we have three grown up children. My occupation is a sheep and beef farmer near Colyton, ten minutes drive from Feilding. The reason I'm involved on the leadership team at the Bible Chapel, is to help ensure that our church reflects the mission that Jesus Christ has called us to. It is important that our church stays relevant to our world while not compromising the values of Christ.
Community Pastor - Kevin Barron
At the beginning of February 2012, Kevin and Patrice took up their new role as full time Community Pastor. Kevin and Patrice come to us from Clark Road Chapel in Whangarei, where Kevin has been an elder for eight years. He is a builder by trade but after consulting with with Living Stones organisation (http://www.livingstones.org.nz/), he decided wanted to move into full time chuch work. Their account of how God opened the door for them to come to Feilding is quite remarkable.
I’m married to Bev and we have three adult children and six lovely grandchildren. We enjoy camping, gardening, reading, spending time with family and going for long walks and cycling. In my past life I’ve enjoyed road and cross country running and have completed three marathons, and ridden unicycles. While I’ve had a career in civil engineering I’ve also spent three years at a Bible College and 9 years as an Industrial Chaplain and Community Worker. Being an Elder is a very responsible, yet humbling role where leadership is being a servant to those in the church. It’s a role that calls for wisdom, discernment, practical common sense, and vision.. But ultimately as the Maori say “He tangata, he tangata, he tangata” or “it’s people, it’s people, it’s people”. It’s people who matter.
I have been fellowshipping at FBC since 1984. My wife, Diane, and I have four adult children and two grandchildren. I work as a contracts engineer.
'Discipleship and Mission' Pastor - Mark Grace
Hi I'm Mark, I'm married to Emma and we have three kids. Hannah, Ben and Zoe. We live in Colyton. I'm a mad keen kayak fisherman and Emma is keen on gardening and the outdoors. We love being part of the Feilding Bible Chapel community where Jesus is cherished and his good news embodied and expressed.
My responsibilities in the FBC community include , teaching the Bible on various Sundays, meeting with groups of people who want to explore the Bible and apply it to all of their lives and assisting people to help others to discover who Jesus is and what he has done for us by exploring the Bible with them. I also support the home group leaders along with the children's ministry team led by my wife Emma.
